In other words, Bill Cosby
'Wonderfulness' has got to be Cosby best ever collection of stories. If you want to sample his style of humor, this is the cd to get first. His story about having his tonsils out is the perfect combination of a child's eye view and memories of the event as an adult looking back. 'Go Carts' is an exciting recollection with great laughs and the story of 'chicken heart' is a classic.
Are you ready for the lie?
This album by Bill Cosby was released in 1966. It's very funny, as Cos always is. Especially good are a couple of long routines; a 15 minute routine about when he had his tonsils out and a 12 minutes routine about when he got scared by an old time radio program. Also very funny is a shorter bit about go-carts. Cosby fans will be sure to enjoy this one.
Behold the master at work...
I remember this album from when I was a kid...I think I actually wore out my parents' copy. So it's a special joy to "rediscover" this screamingly funny album as an adult. In an age when "comedy" consists of vicious insults, Cosby kills with playful, politically-free, perfectly timed material. Listening to the famous "Chicken Heart" routine is to listen to a master of timing, microphone sound-effects, and original material. When The Cos was on, he was without peer.Quite simply, a classic!
