Audio CD Description

An indispensable and definitive collection showcasing the passionate genius of the late rapper. The album's nonchronological sequence highlights the contradictory impulses that made Tupac's music so commanding; the 21 well-loved "hits," some slightly reedited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unheard songs. Of the new material, the raw-sounding "God Bless the Dead" has been the subject of the most speculation, owing to its subject matter: a eulogizing of the late Notorious B.I.G.--a mysterious feat, since Tupac was killed six months before Biggie. And, making its first proper appearance on a Tupac album, the B-side "Hit 'Em Up" stands as the most intense outburst of pure venomous rage ever captured on tape. Whether he's waxing political, philosophical, or just plain paranoid, Tupac's empathetic, charismatic style remains unmatched.

Comments From Our Customers

An Excellent Collection of 2Pac's Music

Before I listened to this album I had heard very little of 2Pac. I had been avoiding rap as much as a could for a long time, but one day I caved in and started listening to rap willingly. I decided I liked it (imagine that) and wanted to find some good rappers to listen to. Obviously, 2Pac came to mind so I thought would take a chance on this 2 CD collection, and I am very glad I did!

2Pac's greatest hits

O.K i've already written a review of this album under my usual user name but I felt compelled to add some points to some reviewers on here. Firstly this is a classic, you can't really go wrong when you take Pac's greatest hits and put them all on 1 cd, no doubt there are songs missing that I would like to have seen on here, and some I would not have included, but when all is said and done, I listen to all 25 tracks on here, there is no filler so it has to be 5 stars.

Best Rapper Ever

I dont understand whats happened to rap ever since 2pac and notorious big were murdered its pretty sickening a lot of it is just crap nobody makes songs like brendas got a baby or changes anymore but stupid stuff like i got so much money wheres the feeling to it plus on the actual rapping ability nobody is close to tupac and biggie the only real rap legend still around is nas and although hes still very good hes not as good as he used to be but is still the best lyricist like for instance lil john who the f*** told him he can rap screaming all over a record is not rap its just a headache i know most arent that bad but i just wish theyre were more rappers that were more real with what theyre doing it sort of is annoying cause at school all the white kids are claiming to be big rap fans and all they listen to is crunk not that its bad but nowhere near tupac i bet none of theese kids ever even heard classics like illmatic or ready to die or any of 2pacs legendary albums amd to whoever says 50 cent is better than 2pac i want to know wtf your smoking cause hes not even in the same league and who is he to diss nas let me know what everybody thinks about what im saying in this review also id like to ask what you to in your opinion rank the tupac albums from best to least best thanks
