Audio CD Description

After veering sharply from the blues inluences of their debut,

Comments From Our Customers

The sound is duller--

--than their other remasters. Great album, but sound technology must have improved drastically from 1999 to 2003. Witness the Yes rems. from that year. Why don't they try again and get it up to speed? I suppose all there is now is the Japanese remaster for a very good recording on CD.

Quite Good

Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" is a concept album that deals with a lot of issues that still affect us today. One part of the album deals with homelessness (the album's title is the name of the character featured in the lyrics.) and the other part deals with the hypocrisy of religion. A lot of people I know frequently say Jethro Tull sucks with comments like "how do you rock out to a flute?" But, I was curious to hear what they sounded like and Tull is actually a damned good band. Ian Anderson is a great flautist and singer; His lyrics ring true and are not hard to decipher. The following are the tracks and simple thoughts on them.

As Relevant As Ever

On a whim and a one-click-to-buy impulse I finally bought the CD of this classic Jethro Tull album the other day. It's been many years since I listened to my scratchy old vinyl copy, but I remember now why it was one of my favorites.
