A beautiful piece of work
Hans Zimmer is by far my favorite composer, especially after listening to this soundtrack. It is a perfect mixture of various songs, telling a story.
"I Am Maximus Decimus Meridius"
This soudntrack REALLY brings back the incredible film. I you have seen the film, you need this music. I am a Zimmer collector, and this is one of his greatest scores, (next to The Last Samurai, and Pearl Harbor) This settle mourning of track one, to the bold spectacle of track 9, this is a must buy.

The melodies contained within this CD are haunting, beautiful, grave, tender, soothing, riveting, tumultous, reflective, and more to me. This is truly an awesome collection of melodies and themes, that, complement a landmark film like no other soundtrack out there.
