Mercy Me's Debut... And It's A GOOD ONE!
This is without a doubt, Mercy Me's best album. It is also, curiously, their debut. I have listened to both albums, and this is the more unique out of the two. It worries less about the obvious popularity issues, and lets creativity reign.
First Is Best
This original recording of "I can only imagine" far exceeds what has followed. There is such depth of feeling in the song. It is why I chose this album rather than some of the newer ones. Other songs on the CD are a pleasure however, "I can only imagine" puts you right in Heaven before God and wondering, "What will I do?"
Strongest debut in years
Rarely do you come across a band that puts out an album as strong as "Almost There". When you throw in the fact that it's their first album you have to take notice. Every track on this album is great but highlights include:
