Audio CD Description

Is this a big-tent revival? A funky throwdown? A jam-band juggernaut?

Comments From Our Customers

"destined for superstardom"

this cd should be in every serious music listeners collection.i caught robert randolph and the family band at the 2006 new orleans jazz and heritage festival. his act was the best, performing cuts from "unclassified" with "i need more love" as the crowd pleaser.i'm ordering his whole collection today.

Actually... you can't imagine what they're like live :)

Man, what to say about this CD? It is an extremely solid collection of funk, soul, R&B and gospel tunes from one of the tightest bands I've ever seen. These guys aren't just on the same page, they might as well be telepathic. They even swap instruments in their live shows, and not the crappy gimmick instrument swapping either. The bassist can tear that steel guitar up and Robert Randolph plays the heck out of the drums too. In any event, this is a great introduction to the band's music and I highly recommend it to any fans of the above listed genres.

very good album

i recently bought the album. I definitely like what I hear. I can only imagine what the band is like live.
