essence captured After listening to the album over and over again and finding it hilarious, I finally was able to see it on broadway. I have to say that the album was able to capture the humour from the broadway show. This is probably because the lyrics provide for much of the laughter.
Avenue Q:X-rated Seseme Street This is the soundtrack from the musical that beat out "Wicked" for the 2004 Tony Award! If it is rude, vile and disgusting, then it is covered in this musical; you've got to love it! Some of my favorite songs include "If You Were Gay", a true Bert and Ernie song, "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist" (gotta watch those Polish jokes) and of course "Schadenfraude" 'making me feel glad that I'm not you'! Warning!!! Strong language, morally offensive topics, sex, drugs, college students and vegetarians! Stay away if you are easily offended.
This rules I love the Avenue Q CD. Me and my friends go around singing the songs all the time. |
