So wonderful

This musical is so exciting and the voices are fantastic- especially chenowith's. Wish I could have seen her live.

How do you marry a musical??

I love it! I heard one song, didn't know anything about wicked, and then, the next year or two, I'm off to see the show on broadway in N.Y! It is AMAZING! I saw Shoshana Bean and Kristen Chenowith, they were amazing as well, but I have freinds who have seen I dina Menzel and Kristen Chenowith and she thought they were wonderful! I have this soundtrack and I can't stop listening to it! I think by now I have probably memorized all of the songs on the CD. This is a great CD and I would reccomend it if you love musicals and theatre.

Wicked is Defying Gravity!

I saw the musical Wicked in Toronto Canada, and it was spectacular!! The soundtrack was a gift for Christmas and i listen to it everyday! I know all the words to every song and the voices are awesome! The turning point of the musical is at the end of act one when "Defying Gravity" is sung. The voices of the actresses reach a soaring height! The best line in that song is when Elphaba says "And if you care to find me look to the Western sky, as someone told me lately everyone deserves the chance to fly." Right after Defying Gravity is Thank Goodness, towards the end of this song Glinda seems to be sad about what has happened to Elphaba and she says that she "couldn't be happier," but she admits to the fact that there are some costs she paid and some "bridges she crossed, she didn't know she crossed until she crossed." Another touching song is "No Good Deed" in this song Elphaba is troubled and states "Let all Oz be agreed, I'm wicked through and through." She promises then that she will never do a good deed again. The best songs on this CD are: The Wizard and I, What is this Feeling?, Dancing Through Life, Popular, One Short Day, Defying Gravity, Thank Goodness, As Long as Your Mine, No Good Deed, and For Good. This the best broadway musical ever and "I couldn't be happier" that i saw it and own the soundtrack. I am listening to it as i write this. It is safe to say that Wicked is Defying Gravity!!!!
