| Audio CD Description Reggaeton star Daddy Yankee balances dance music with philosophical tunes on this 21-track CD. The engine driving this collection is the smash single "Gasolina," with its basic reggae beat and its catchy chorus "Dame mas gasolina!" ("Give me more gasoline"). Also highly danceable are "No me Dejes Solo," featuring guest singers Wisin y Yandel, and the English-language pop-reggaeton tune "Like You." But Daddy Yankee also reflects on his barrio on "Salud y Vida" ("Health and Life"), a rap tune that questions society's endless pursuit of material things. Like fellow raggeton artists Tego Calderon, Daddy Yankee admires big-band salsa. Among his influences he counts noted singer Andy Montanez, who guests on the track "Sabor a Melao." Montanez's distinctive gruff vocals add a soulful flavor to the track. |

Daddy Yankee a su mejor despues del cd "los bactranes", este el mejor del reggaeton. el cd tiene canciones buenisimas.
Reggaeton at its Best A lot of people I've talked to have never heard of Reggaeton, but they've heard of Daddy Yankee's Gasolina. Daddy Yankee's growing popularity is making the genre famous. In Barrio Fino (Fine/Refined Neighborhood), Daddy Yankee's songs touch many aspects of life. Gasolina reflects his love of clubbing and just having fun. In Lo Que Paso, Paso, Yankee deals with relationship problems (What has happened, happened), while Corazones (Hearts) deals with real life situations, especially gangs and violence. An especially memorable line can be translated as "Don't see that education is mediocre in the residences/ They need more teachers more materials to create more leaders and less criminals". Although many listeners may not know what the lyrics mean, much of Yankee's lyrics have deep meaning to them that speak to people. And for the non-Hispanic-speakers, there is the lively beat behind the music that almost hypnotizes the listener. Reggaeton is a genre of music where you never get bored listening to the songs again and again, and Daddy Yankee's Barrio Fino provides some of the best Reggaeton there is. There is something refreshing in listening to music, and not having to worry about the lyrics' appropriateness.
Memorias del Barrio Fino Man, I love reggaeton, but this dude is too scandalous and he thinks he's the best rapper ever (Don Omar or Wisin & Yandel are better) When "Gasolina" came out everyone loved it, but after all the song resulted annoying. If you love Daddy Yankee, you must buy the album, but if you just like reggaeton don't buy it, or do it under my advice. Anyway the album hottest songs are "Like you", "Dale caliente", "No me dejes solo", "Lo que paso paso", "El empuje" and "Saber su nombre". I don't care about the rest.
