Perfect for Dora fans! My daughter loves this CD! All Dora fans need it!
Yes my kid likes it, but what about the premise? One of the premises of Dora the explorer is that she is supposed to introduce kids to the Spanish language. In none of the CDs or movies I've bought she (or any of the characters) speaks/sings more than a few words in Spanish (and poorly pronounced!). Yes, it certainly entertains my litle one, but it does nothing to introduce or reinforce him properly to speak Spanish (not even elementary and basic level). I'm a native Spanish speaker and I try to talk to him in Spanish as much as I can, however, I thought listening to Dora would reinforce that. To my dismay, most if not all of Dora's cartoons/CDs are 99% English, 1% (poorly spoken) Spanish.
A+++++ My daughter has been listening to this CD at bedtime for over a year now! She loves it! |
