As good as any other Soul Coughing Album
I bought this album on a whim and am glad for it. It has all the good features of other Soul Coughing albums with perhaps a bit more polish. You won't be sorry with this purchase.
Astonishing and amazing
A friend recently introduced me to this album and I have listened to little else the past month. I like Soul Coughing, but I don't think one would have to in order to enjoy this tremendous piece of work. Personally, I cannot pick specific songs that I like more than others, I think the entire album is that good. "Tremendous Brunettes" does stick out as particularly excellent, as does "Looking Up at the World from the Bottom of a Well". I highly recommend that everyone buy a copy of this CD.
Fantastic New Release
Mike Doughty has released another great CD. Amazing lyrics and melody, impressive guests including Dave Matthews, and his raspy voice reminiscent of Soul Coughing make for a cd that will spend a lot of time in your player.
