I have to say that when I heard 'Pon de Replay' on the radio I passed it off as another 'Mickey Mouse Club' refugee, and it really wasn't until hearing Rihanna's 'SOS' in a club last month that I started to think this girl had talent. So, with the blood still pumping the next morning I grabbed this CD (and SOS aint even on here) and popped it into my CD player. I have to admitt that 'Pon de Replay' started to grow on me, but it was the remainder of the CD that really solidified this girls talent to me. Song's like 'Here I Go Again' and 'You Don't Love Me' showcase that island vibe and Rihanna's roots, while songs like 'Let Me' and 'Rush' could get any club pumping. I'm a fan of 'That La,La,La' but what is it with the 'La,La' thing...I mean Tierra Marie did that song too :P and the same with Rihanna's 'I've Got a Thug in my Life' Kinda plays into Tierra's 'Phonebooth' but maybe I'm being too critical :P...or am I? It seems like the media whats to put these young girls out there as rebelous sex-kittens, and heck, maybe they are. There are some slowed down highlights like 'Willing to Wait' and 'Now I Know' and after one listen you will know too that Rihanna is meant for the game...hopefully her follow up 'A Girl Like Me' will be just as hot.

This CD is amazing, she has a beautiful voice, and the way she sings, you forget that she is so young, I hope shes around for a long time, she deserves to be! A must purchase, and the beats are hot!
