Comments From Our Customers

Great, if you're a Dylan enthusiast

This album is a must-have if you're a Dylan addict dying to see a slightly different angle on many of his great songs, and a few Dylan renditions of songs you've never heard him sing before. It feels like, and in fact at times is, a collection of greatest bootleg hits.

The Man is The Man.

Further illustrates the principle (useful to recall when you go to see him live) that when Dylan is on, he's unbeatable, but when he's off he's mediocre to outright horrible.

Worthwhile. overall

My comments will mainly pertain to those, like me, who are only moderate fans of Dylan. (I very much like some of his music, but not most of it.) Those who are diehard fans will probably find many reasons to like this CD, not least of which is the fact that it consists of previously unreleased or "alternate" takes. And it IS interesting in that regard. In fact, most of these "alternate takes" are better than the "standard" takes found on earlier albums--more musical and more interesting.
