Patience, my love, patience...
Bought the album because I wanted something with a melancholic sound. Nice cover-art also contributed as I am not familiar with David Gray. At first listen the CD had some good songs and some ok. Some were really bad. This is a CD that requires you to listen 5 times through, and then they are all good songs. Highlights are: Hospital Food, Alibi and Ain't no love. If you like music that is easy to listen to, but still has its own sound, I can highly recommend it.
Love, love this album
First, let me suggest to those of you who are pondering whether or not to purchase this CD - purchase IT! Second, there are many on here who do not think that this CD is better than White Ladder, which it's not, but it is just as good, and in it's own right. These people have to criticize his newer albums so they can lay claim to "being there from the beginning" with Sell, Sell, Sell and The EP's, etc...
LOL not even worth review
I've been a die hard David Gray fan and waited years for this album. As soon as it was released I got it. First few tracks ok then it takes a nose dive. Some of the tracks are so bad you are left awestruck that David Gray could produce such diabolical quality. I mean the odd track has lyrics that Britney Spears could exceed.
