excellent soundtrack

Aside from the fact that the cd is copyright protected, the music is excellent. The songs chosen truly capture the feel of the movie, and the atmosphere is recreated every time I listen to it. It makes me want to grab my best friend and go on a spontaneous roadtrip across the country.

I've been an avid collector of soundtracks for the past 15 years and I can easily say this is one of the best collections I've ever heard. Combining new and old, modern and classic, each song in it's own way makes you feel true emotion. For anyone who truly loves music - this soundtrack is totally worth it. It's a "bring only three cd's to a deserted island" good.

Itunes version is not copy protected

Sony CDs that are copy protected should not be bought - however this collection is available on Itunes w/out the nasty program - the music is good - I love Patty Griffen's song - one drawback - only one of the Tom Petty Songs that that were in the movie is on this sound track - "It'll all work out". "Learning to Fly" is Available on his greatest his album if you are interested.
