Bossa Nova Meets Hip Hop

Timeless is a great fusion of music. I would have never thought to put the two together. I have been a fan of the Bossa Nova for a few years and a fan of Hip Hop since forever. Sergio and Will.i.am are brilliant! Some of my favorite artists from Hip Hop to Neo-Soul are featured on this CD. It really is a great CD to have in your collection.

Firstly, I must admit that it's my first connection with Sergio Mendes, although I knew some of his songs like 'Mas que Nada'. Recently, I heard it totally refreshed by Will.i.am on the radio and couldn't get it out of my head.

I'm not new to BossaNova or Brazilian music although Iam fairly young, however Sergio Mendes was not a familiar name to my ears. When I heard that Will.I.AM rapping on a new song on the radio, I had to look for it, and I discovered this album. I must say, it IS timeless. This is a masterpiece and it appeals to both young & old people. With India.Arie, Justin, and BEP's lined up on the tracks, it guarantees the younget generation will be bumping their humps to these songs, along with the older geezers who can enjoy the re-makes of some old Bossa favorites.
