NOT FALL OUT BOY!!!!
I'm really getting tired of people saying that Panic! At the Disco is exactly like Fall Out Boy. You people obviously know little about Fall Out Boy. Panic! is much more techno/dancey than FOB will probably ever be. Panic! is not from Chicago, the members are younger, and their lyrics are much different than those written by Pete Wentz. He would probably never pen the words "what a shame the poor groomsbride is a whore". Panic! also uses many instruments that FOB has never used (xylophone, drum machine, organ) and Panic! repeats their choruses many more times. The lead singers voice is also quite different from Patrick Stump's; he articulates and has a different tone. C'mon people! They are NOT the same band! Panic!'s record company is owned by Pete Wentz, and would he really sign a band that sounded exactly like his own? NO. Panic! At the Disco has many things to offer that don't have to do with Fall Out Boy. "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" is VERY different from "From Under the Cork Tree" and "Take this to Your Grave". Anyone that can't hear that difference clearly has not been listening properly.
Panic! Of the Brain
'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' was only the taste of the medicine you get when you pop in your new Panic! At the Disco album...After you explore the cd for a bit, you will soon realize that you can no longer be hardcore because of the simple fact that your ears have fallen deeply in love with the sound of what Fall Out Boy wants to be. Call it Bubble Gum Pop Rock, call it Techno/Emo, call it whatever the hell you want, but PATD locks you in and does not realease you until you beg for mercy and escape. The piano, the synth, and the catchy (yet remarkable)lyrics are everything you have ever wanted to say if you were ever to be your own band. As catchy as the album is it says what you think and you know it! Seriously, PATD has done a wonderful job in a debut and I am sure that if given the chance, their hype will be lived up to in a second album. Also, watch out for that 'Time to Dance'...you will swear it is your new drug when you get hooked to it. Take a few listens.
Not bad at all
As you can see, I'm not much of an emo lover. I don't like fall out boy, or my chemical romance... but Panic! at the disco is very creative. Hey, I would panic too, since sometimes I don't got moves. (joke).
