Third Impression of "First Impressions..."
When The Doors released Waiting for the Sun, many wondered where the punch and energy from the quartet went. However, many began to realize the importance and duality of such a band, too.
From Yuck to Yum.
I have to admit that at first I was utterly disgusted by the sounds that were portruding from my stereo system. I thought to myself, "I wasted $700 on awesome speakers to listen to this?" I tried to listen to it. In all honesty, I did. And I found myself turning it off after I listened to "Juicebox." But the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. Oh my dearest Jesus. This album has to be the greatest thing I have EVER heard. I cannot believe I thought this of the beautiful Julian and Gang. The guitar riffs soar and are pumped with young energy that it makes me antsy and glad. This is just too good to be true. The more you listen to this album, the more it grows on you. I won't let it leave my premises. I'm glad that the Strokes are back with this powerful and intelligent 3rd album. I've got nothing to say.
take it or leave it
Don't get me wrong, i love the strokes and i started loving them because of 'Is This It?' and loved them with 'Room on Fire' although it was different in minute ways to the debut but they still kept true to the style they originated with.
