Amazing!!! Words cannot describe how much I love this recording. It is albsolutly phenomenal. Just buy it. You will not regret it.
Best Sweeney by far I saw this production in London two years ago in a converted TV studio near Trafalgar Square and it was stunningly effective theatre. I went back and told my colleagues about it and they all poo-pooed the idea of a stripped-down Sweeney. Well, I stand by my original feeling after seeing it in NYC. Patti Lupone only adds to the mix. It's a splendid cast album. I hope it makes it to Great Performances like Light in The Piazza, the OTHER great production on Broadway this season.
AMAZING! Even if you don't get see this wonderful revival on Broadway, I highly reccommend buying this cast recording.
