Great CD
I love this cd. It's awesome. "Stand" is a great song, however some people have been cutting down "me and my gang" but that's the song that made me buy the cd. I have listened it to everyday since i bought and still love it cuz every song has a different mood and different feeling.
Good Mix But Not An All-Star
The cd starts off strong with the inspirational track, "Stand", and leads into the number one single, "What Hurts The Most". "What Hurts The Most" is a love and loss song very emotional and touching. The third track, "Backwards" is a fun, funny song that basically describes every country song. The fourth track, "I Feel Bad", slows things down a bit. The song doesn't have much lyrically, but it does have a nice chorus to compensate for the song lyrically. The fifth track, "My Wish", moves at the same pace, the song has it lyrically but the music really doesn't give much to the lyrics. "Pieces" and "Yes I Do" are mediocre songs but are okay if you listen to the music and not the lyrics. "To Make Her Love Me", the eighth track, talks about asking God to make a girl love the man in the song, it also talks about miracles, and the singer begs God, 'how hard could it be to make her love me?' The ninth track, "Words I Couldn't Say", describes the struggle to say words the singer 'couldn't say'. And asks, 'what do I do now that your gone?' The tenth track, "Me & My Gang", steps up the pace and lets it "rip". The song is fun, fast-paced, and differently catchy, this song is for sure one of the best songs of the cd. "Cool Thing", the eleventh track, starts things off slow but speeds up as the chorus begins, the song is basically about a summer love but nothing monumental. "Ellsworth", the twelfth track, is a very touching and emotional song; it really touches you if you know someone with dementia. But the song turns inspiring when the singer sings, "but bring up grandpa- its like someone flipped a switch" and then it goes into the grandpa's and grandma's love story when the grandma was seventeen. This is definitely a standout song on this cd. "He Ain't The Leavin' Kind", the thirteenth track, is good song lyrically and musically. Rascal Flatts fourth disc is a winner with me even though some of the songs sounded similar and weren't all there for me. Overall I give their fourth cd a 4. Be sure to check out "Stand", "What Hurts The Most", "To Make Her Love Me", "Me & My Gang", and "Ellsworth". These are all standouts.
