i do agree that this album is great but what is up with the high bass and fuzz?

it is apparent that thursday has been listening to alot of godspeed you! black emperor.. you can definitely hear it in the guitars. i like the fact that the vocals have been a bit drained out, it gives the music a much more balanced sound, whereas before the vocals kind of overtook the musicianship.

Thursday's new album "A City By the Light Divided" is absolutely amazing. It is definitely a change from anything Thursday has done, but obviously that was their goal, and they successfully made that change. Like Geoff said, this is their best album that they have ever made and will ever make. I certainly hope they rise the bar again in the future, but with this album... it's going to be tough.
